This Thanksgiving, the Ogle County Sheriff’s Office is joining the Illinois State Police and local law enforcement to ensure holiday travelers are buckled up and driving sober with a “Click It or Ticket” and “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” enforcement campaign that runs Nov. Terrazas was additionally cited for leaving the scene, improper lane usage, and driving on the shoulder. Terrazas was also cited for speeding, operating a vehicle with suspended registration, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, no front registration, failure to notify SOS of address change, and improper turn signal.Īfter further investigation, damaged property was reported in the 6000 of East IL Route 72 and on scene was part of the bumper and license plate of the Terrazas's Escape. Terrazas was placed under arrest for aggravated fleeing to elude a peace officer, driving while license suspended and unlawful use of a weapon. A short time later the vehicle and the driver, Luis Terrazas JR, age 30 of Baileyville, were located on Avon Street in near Locust Avenue in Forreston. The pursuit was terminated as the vehicle entered the Village of Forreston at a high rate of speed. The vehicle attempted to flee from deputies and continued at a high rate of speed. On at approximately 0238 hours, Deputies attempted to stop a black Ford Escape in the 9000 block of West Illinois Route-72.
